The TTUHSC El Paso Libraries have branches located in three buildings. The Delia Montes- Gallo Library is located on the first floor of the Academic Education Center (AEC) building across from Texas Tech Physicians of El Paso (4801 Alberta Avenue). The AEC library is open 24/7 with swipe card access. The front door is unlocked and the desk is staffed from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday. Reference, circulation, and 3D printing services are available when the service desk is open. This library has study carrels, whiteboards, MetroNap Pods, scanners, a shredder, sound-proof booths, lounge seating, table seating, PCs, and printers available 24/7.
The Doris F. Eisenberg Library is located on the second floor of the Medical Education Building (MEB) on the corner of Rick Francis St, and Robert Brown Ave (5001 El Paso Drive). This location has a “quiet room,” a conference room, and study rooms. Three small group study rooms are located directly outside of the MEB Library as are 10 small classrooms. The MEB Library’s student study area, the “quiet room,” study carrels, a MetroNap Pod, and the sound-proof booths are available 24/7 with swipe card access. Computer workstations, a industrial-strength paper shredder, poster printing services, printing services, 3D printing, scanners, whiteboards, reference, and circulation services are available, when the library’s service desk is open. The service desk hours for this library include both evening and weekend hours.
The MSB II Library is located on the first floor of the Medical Sciences Building on 137 Rick Francis Street. All areas of this library are available 24/7 with swipe card access. This library has study carrels, whiteboards, a MetroNap Pod, a shredder, sound-proof booths, a “quiet room,” lounge seating, table seating, PCs, and printers. The front desk is staffed from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday. Reference, circulation, and 3D printing services are available when the service desk is open.
The majority of the libraries’ collection are electronic and include: over 58,000 eBooks and over 26,000 journal titles. All three libraries have small print reference collections, however the majority of the libraries’ older historical print collection (books and journals) is stored on campus in a warehouse. Requested items are usually available for pick-up from a service desk within an hour during regular business hours.
