PEDI 8022 - Medicine on the Border: Community Outreach and ChallengesThe course will cover the important aspects and challenges associated with medical practice in the border region. Students will be introduced to unique methods of outreach for minority/majority communities, such as working with Promotoras (Community Health Workers) and practicing in a bilingual environment. This course will be offered August - May. ( 2 weeks)
