PEDI 8021 - Environmental and Occupational Medicine - 3 students

The student will read between 15 to 20 book chapters/articles about occupational and environmental health/diseases designated by the supervisors in three-weeks, and will meet with the supervisor in person or through Webex (according to the students’ preference), for answering questions if necessary. The student will do a short MCQ quiz (online through Elentra) at the end of each week (3 quizzes in total) If the grade in any quiz is less than 50%, the student will re-do the quiz for that week. On one day in week 4 (date will be announced and is flexible), student will have to attend an industrial site visit in person in El Paso. Students need to submit (1) a short report about the field trip and (2) a short report about a significant environmental/occupational health problem by the end of the course.3 students **VIRTUAL plus one day industrial site visit in person in El Paso** Available August, October, February & April
