PEME 8018 - Introduction to Wilderness MedicineStudent will become familiar with all medical, diagnostic and surgical procedures considered essential for the area of practice. Student must demonstrate familiarity in the practice of technical skills of patients of all ages and genders requiring austere medical care. “The Advanced Wilderness Life Support (AWLS) course will be taken by each student as part of the rotation. If the student wishes to obtain AWLS cerfication, the student will be responsible for the fee (approximately $175)”. Limit 2-6 Students. Offered July 8-19 only Faculty: Dr. Popieluszko (2 weeks)
