GNUR 5322 - Health Informatics for Nursing LeadershipThis course will engage the student in the examination of information and technology concepts, theories, and skills necessary to optimally communicate, manage knowledge, minimize error, and support health care decisions. Students will learn to apply information and communication technologies to integrate and coordinate patient care; examine data management systems to improve outcomes of care; and utilize evidence-based care and health education to manage health information. Principles of information and cognitive science will provide the foundation for integrating concepts of healthcare information, health care delivery, decision-support, and the ethical and secure management of information in the advanced practice nursing role.
