PEME 8014 - Emergency Medicine UltrasoundThe 4 week rotation is intended to better prepare students to begin an EM residency by providing an introduction to POCUS (point-of-care ultrasound) in the ED. The rotation will consist of an orientation day, 1-2 days at the simulation center working through the self-paced ultrasound learning modules (sono-sim) and 11 clinical shifts at the UMC ED where the student will perform POCUS exams under the supervision of emergency medicine residnets or faculty. By the end of the rotation students will have obtained a minimum of 50 supervised bedside POCUS exams. The student will also attend QA meetings during the rotation. (2 or 4 weeks) Limit 1 student
