Non-Grade Complaints and Grievances

It is the policy of the FGSBS to affirm the right of its students to a prompt and fair resolution of complaints and grievances that are non-grade related.
- Prior to requesting a hearing request with the TTUHSC El Paso Office of Student Services and Student Engagement (SSSE) the student must attempt to resolve the issue with the individual(s) involved.
- If the FGSBS students is not satisfied with the outcome after meeting with the individual(s) involved, the student may contact the FGSBS dean.
- If the grievance is against the dean, the student may contact the Assistant Vice President for SSSE.
- The dean will investigate the complaint, attempt to reconcile differences, and find an acceptable solution.
- Every effort should be made to resolve the issue without going beyond this level.
If the student is not satisfied with the outcome at this point, the student should file a request for a hearing by submitting a written complaint to the Assistant Vice President SSSE.
